Eliezer Manor is an Israeli businessman, founder and owner of Shirat Enterprises Ltd. in Israel, with more than 30 years experience in hi-tech and venture capital (VC). He founded several hi-tech companies in Israel and the US and is one of the pioneers of the venture capital industry in Israel, being the founder of one of the first VC funds in Israel and two VC funds in the Silicon Valley, as well as a co-founder and first Executive Director of the Israel Venture Capital Association.
Mr. Manor is or was board member and Chairman of several companies, some listed on NASDAQ, as well as of technological incubators. He was involved in international activities in related fields and is a lecturer in conferences on VC and hi-tech entrepreneurship around the world. Since 2005 he is managing a large program in China, supported by the Israeli government and by local Chinese authorities in central locations in China, devoted to the establishment of joint ventures with Chinese industrial companies for the commercialization of new products, based on novel technologies developed by Israeli hi-tech companies. In parallel, he initiated and participates in the establishment of several VC funds in China, dedicated to invest in the new joint ventures. Eliezer Manor holds a B. Sc. in Physics from Tel Aviv University and M. Sc. in Applied Physics from the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel.
