Who we are

Robert Van den broeck (Director – Benelux) has had more than 35 years of international banking and corporate management experience and currently acts as a non-executive director of several European companies.

He is the founder and chairman of Privast Capital Partners, founded in Brussels in 1999, a private equity firm investing in technology and life sciences. In the past he held senior positions with Exxon, Citigroup and Banque Bruxelles Lambert. During the period 1981-1995 he was the Managing Director – CEO of Plouvier & Kreglinger, an international investment group.
In January 2006 his company, Hudson Finance nv, began acting as WJ Hopper &Co’s agent for the Benelux countries. He is a graduate engineer, holds a Master’s degree in applied economics from Antwerp University, and an MBA degree from INSEAD at Fontainebleau, France. Past directorships include Barco, Bank Indosuez Belgium and Bank Corluy. He has two grown children and lives with his wife near Antwerp.
